Greystones Community Rowing is an inclusive group fitness programme that combines the complete low-impact workout of indoor rowing with bodyweight exercise and stretching.

You don’t have to row on the water to get the great health and fitness benefits of rowing. You can get as good a workout rowing indoors as you can on the water. At Greystones Community Rowing we use the same Concept2 rowing machines that are used by Olympic rowers to replicate the feel and fitness benefits of rowing on the water, with the advantage of constant workout feedback.

From novice to Olympic level indoor rowing is integral to the sport of rowing and is a growing sport in itself. Whether indoors or out, rowing can be an individual or a team activity. At Community Rowing we take a team-based approach because we are stronger when we pull together.

Team rowing requires you to focus more because you have to coordinate your movement with your “crewmates” and everyone has to pull their weight. When you row in a team as opposed to rowing on your own you will make faster progress, achieve better results and experience camaraderie and community. Plus it is a lot more fun!

The beauty of indoor rowing is that it is a safe, holistic and mindful exercise that any body can do at any age and at any fitness level.
